Water softening and chloramine reduction upstream of coffee machines, tea brewers, steamers and combi ovens. It reduces water hardness and the taste and odour of chlorine and chloramines, giving more consistent drink flavour and fewer scale-related breakdowns and service calls.
What it does
- ion-exchange water softening: less scale in the boiler, steam generator and heating elements
- adjustable blending: set how much mineral content remains in the water (Recipe Quality Water)
- reduces chlorine and chloramines; chloramines can also damage the metal, plastic and rubber parts of machines
- 1 µm nominal filtration
System components
- B145-CLS water softener cartridge
- 3M VH3 filter head
Operation
Replacement interval depends on the volume of water treated and the water hardness (approx. 2,006 L at 180 mg/l hardness). For higher volumes we recommend the B165-CLS. Replacement cartridge: B145-CLS.
